Have you ever seen the movie “What Dreams May Come”? It’s one of my favorite movies. There’s a part where the characters run through a field of flowers which reminded me of this garden in the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel in Washington DC. The day before, President Obama had delivered a speech there, so every part of the hotel had been under surveillance. The garden had become a safe respite from all the commotion. An absolutely perfect spot!

Poppies & Morning Glories

I’ve always loved floral fabrics, and these floral linen pants were love at first sight. The poppies and morning glories print mixed with wheat reminded me of the fields in Spain during the spring. I wore this for church, and since it was a bit chilly and windy, I styled it with a blazer or hacking jacket, which gave it a classic look.
