A Key to the Armoire

On my recent trip to Washington DC, I spent lots of time in Georgetown, mostly antiquing, but also enjoying the quaint streets, blooming at the seams with gorgeous flowers, and the relaxing cafes that line most of them. I hope you enjoy them!

Susana Fernandez | A Key to the Armoire

I built this outfit around the red piping of the striped sweater. The first thing I knew I would add was the antique West German brooch/pin, and the next thing was the black and white gingham. From there, the other elements fell organically. Although I think the brooch is an apple blossom, in this particular outfit, it reminds me of a cherry blossom. Besides, mixing red and black always reminds me of cherries…maybe that’s it!
